Olga began her JetBlue journey in Customer Support, but her heart was always set on a career in Human Resources. Fast-forward ten years (and one key leap into the Staffing and Placement team), and she’s now thriving as a Talent Acquisition Coordinator. Still, she knew her degree was the next runway she needed to clear. Enter: JetBlue Scholars. With every class, her confidence grew, as did her readiness to take on more. The program didn’t just unlock knowledge; it sparked fresh perspectives, sharpened her problem-solving, and proved to her (and her team) that she’s got what it takes to level up.

This academic growth, combined with the hands-on experience I’ve gained at JetBlue, has significantly boosted my readiness to take on more responsibility and pursue further opportunities within the company.

What motivated you to join the JetBlue Scholars program, and how has it impacted your career? My motivation for joining the JetBlue Scholars program stems from my long-term goal of advancing within the Talent Acquisition field. I began my journey with JetBlue ten years ago in Customer Support, working remotely for many years. Although I had a strong interest in Human Resources from the start, I initially believed it would be challenging to transition into that department.

That changed when I was given the opportunity to join the team as a Staffing and Placement Assistant (SPA), where I supported the hiring process. A few months later, I was promoted to my current position as a Talent Acquisition Coordinator. This role marked a pivotal moment in my career, confirming my passion for recruiting and supporting the growth of our crewmembers.

As I look ahead, I know that obtaining my degree was the next essential step to continue progressing at JetBlue and achieving my long-term professional goals. The JetBlue Scholars program represents not only an educational opportunity but also a pathway to grow within a company I deeply value.

 In what ways has the program fostered a culture of continuous improvement and learning in your team? The JetBlue Scholars program has played a significant role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning within our team. Encouraging team members to pursue their degrees and further their education has created an environment where learning is not just supported but celebrated. As colleagues continue to grow academically, they bring new insights, ideas, and skills that enhance the overall performance and efficiency of our department. This culture of learning not only encourages collaboration but also drives improvements in our processes, helping us strengthen our effectiveness within Talent Acquisition.

 In what ways has the program contributed to your readiness for advancement within JetBlue? The JetBlue Scholars program has been a key factor in preparing me for advancement within the company. By providing the opportunity to further my education, the program has enabled me to develop new skills and expand my knowledge, thereby increasing both my confidence and effectiveness in my current role.

 The program has also provided me with the tools to approach challenges with a fresh perspective and a stronger understanding of the business. In what ways has completing your degree contributed to your personal development and confidence? Completing my degree has had a significant impact on my personal development and confidence. It’s not just the knowledge I gained, but the discipline and perseverance it took to balance school with work. The experience of setting goals, overcoming challenges, and achieving something meaningful has significantly boosted my sense of accomplishment and self-confidence. I now feel more confident in my decision-making and problem-solving abilities, and I’m better prepared to take on new challenges in both my career and personal life.

 Has your participation in the JetBlue Scholars program affected your job satisfaction? Yes. Being able to pursue my education while working at JetBlue has strengthened my connection to both my personal growth and the company’s success. The new skills I’ve gained have boosted my confidence in my role, and it’s given me a strong sense of accomplishment. Knowing that I’m progressing in my career and achieving my goals, all while contributing to the team’s success, has been incredibly rewarding.
