For this JetBlue Scholar, the goal was clear: finish what she started. Life had once paused her path to an associate’s degree, but when the scholars program came along, it wasn’t just a second chance, it was a launchpad. With the flexibility to learn at her own pace, she not only earned that postponed degree but pushed further, straight through to her bachelor’s.

What motivated you to join the JetBlue Scholars program, and how has it impacted your career? My motivation to join the JetBlue Scholars program was simple yet deeply meaningful: I wanted to finish what I started. I was close to earning my associate’s degree when life forced me to put my education on hold. When the opportunity through JetBlue Scholars came along, it felt like the perfect chance to not only complete that milestone but to also go further to earning my bachelor’s degree without the financial stress that often comes with higher education. The flexibility to learn at my own pace while balancing work made it even more appealing.

Did the JetBlue Scholars coach contribute to your success? One of the most impactful aspects of this journey was the unwavering support from my success coach, Kathy. She was an incredible guide throughout the process, always patient, encouraging, and responsive. From helping me choose which classes to prioritize to suggesting electives that matched my interests, her support made the entire experience smoother and more enjoyable. Knowing that someone genuinely cared about my progress made a big difference in staying motivated.

Has completing your degree contributed to your personal development and confidence? Completing my degree has been a transformative experience, both personally and professionally. It gave me a renewed sense of confidence, especially as I pursue my entrepreneurial goals. The knowledge I’ve gained has helped me better understand what it takes to run a small business and make informed decisions with greater clarity. More than anything, the sense of accomplishment has empowered me to believe in myself and take bold steps toward my future.

I’m truly grateful for the resources and structure the JetBlue Scholars program provides. It’s more than just a degree; it’s a pathway to growth, empowerment, and possibility. For any fellow crewmembers considering it, I can’t recommend it enough. This program has changed my life, and I know it can do the same for others.
